[Text to Dimitri]
[June 7th/8th. When everyone is back at the hotel.]
You're probably asleep. I don't know what the time is over there. Just checking in.

Are you going to stay out in the city tonight?

[Way to make the understatement of the century.]

What do you mean flying back? I thought you were still in London?

[Not that Dimitri was known for screwing around. At all. Ever.]

Rose, listen to me. I am not lying to you. I spoke to you and Elena. You said your mission was delayed and you were going to spend the night out in London. You told me not to wait up for you.

[The line goes quiet again, Rose’s quickened breaths the only thing to be heard.]
When. When exactly was this?

Tell me again. What happened. Tell me exactly what was said. [Her voice tight, Rose barely managing to control the level of it.]

I saw the two of you talking as you walked down the halls. I was confused, because I had thought you’d already left, and inquired as to why you were still in town. You told me that your mission had been delayed and you didn’t know when you would be leaving. The two of you spoke about a girl’s night out, Elena apologized for taking up your time recently, and you told me not to wait up when I asked if I would see you later.
Then I gave you a kiss on the cheek and the two of you left.

She wouldn’t. Never in a million years would Rose have even thought that what she was imagining was possible but the more Dimitri spoke, the more it become clear (Wisdom Nat 20) that the horror of this night was culminating into something far worse than she ever thought possible.
It was the last thing he said that finished her though and without thought, Rose let out a guttural scream that would surely be heard by everyone in the hotel as she hurled the phone against the wall of the room (Str 23) watching the pieces fall to the ground.]
((TBC... when... Rose gets use of another phone.))
