Here's how it works. You state two facts about yourself and a lie, in any order, innocuous as you like, and everyone has to see if they can separate the truth from the lies. Good practice for all that covert ops stuff.

Well, hey, could be worse. I mean, if I did go to college, I remember zero much of it, so I'd say we're even. [ A beat. ] ... Or, actually, you're about twelve years of education ahead. They're not gonna make me retake algebra, right?

I was gonna thank the guy who invented calculators, but that works too.

Also a viable option, but probably equally absentee and hard to get in touch with. And then it'd be like, well, how far calculated do you want to go back. Because, I mean, thanking the first guy with an abacus might even require seance.

Maybe we better just go with some general gratitude then.

General it is. Which, you know, while we're on the subject of generally speaking ... Did you ever play football? Not college, obviously, but high school or something? 'Cause, I mean, maybe it's the fifty push-ups-per-minute arms, but you kinda seem like the type.

High school, yeah. But the whole dragon blood thing was seen as a 'natural advantage'. I got kicked off the team my sophomore year.

Not so much. [It gets a laugh out of him though] Family doesn't really... gather up for the holidays.

I guess it'd probably be tough to round them all up. [ There's a sheepish look at that as if it ... just now occurred to her that, yeah, Jack said most of them weren't in England anymore. ] It must be so weird for you.

Weird's not the word I would use, exactly.
