[Sam's probably been laying in bed for...awhile. He's seen some shit in his life, and managed to sleep just fine, but today was not a normal day. Even for him.

There's still some clean up happening on Andres Isle, but I want to make sure I'm in town when you get there.

[It takes him a second to answer, but if she's listening close enough she can probably hear him get up to leave the room and take a walk.]

It sounds like she got...pretty much the whole story. At least Dean's side of it, mixed with things from the gossip mill, from the sounds of it.

Dean's side of things. [ the words sound a bit incredulous ] I'm sure that painted you in a promising light.

No, not particularly. But she said she didn't hear much about what happened to me. Just that I betrayed Dean and then died somehow.

[astrayed]

Did she mention who Dean was working with?

[familybusiness]

An angel named Castiel. She said he...dressed like a homeless person? But he apparently died along the way, too.

[astrayed]

... Cas, yeah. He's the one who gave your brother his quest in the first place. Although by the end there, he didn't really know if he believed in it anymore, either.

Apparently, they all but clipped his wings for it. He Fell. First one in a long time to do it, too.

[familybusiness]

Why? Because it didn't mean what he thought it did, or he didn't want my brother to pay the price?

[Or both? Both was good.]

Fell? You mean...like Lucifer did eons ago, or...?

[You know. Fallen angels and all that.]

Not quite so spectacularly, I imagine. And with no interest in taking Hell's side. But yes. Same idea. He couldn't stand what was being done to Dean and your brother rubbed off on him. He disobeyed orders, and got kicked out of Heaven.

But even that wasn't enough to get Dean to stop?

[It would stand to reason that if the very erson who gave him the mission wasn't into it anymore, that would be enough.]
