This afternoon, Sir Jeanne Gar was abducted from downtown London, and despite our best efforts to halt the attempt, was taken to an undisclosed location by a woman called the Mind Master.  This same woman worked with Dimitris Sarandis and his fellow cultists, and participated in the attack on our castle this winter.  

This woman is extremely dangerous, and I advise anyone who thinks they have a means to locate Sir Gar to work directly with myself and Sir Hasmed to do so.  I will not risk losing more Knights to these fanatics.

We will find her.  For now, remain vigilant, and I would advise you all to be cautious when venturing outside of the castle.

That is very true. And you know, it's not like I'm not used to failing the first time. I'd just kind of was hoping I wasn't setting a precedent.

I hate to sound like a Hallmark commercial, but in this case I think trying your best really is the most important thing. [ leaning down, she kisses his cheek, resting her forehead against his for a moment as she adds, ] I'm glad you weren't murdered by tentacles. I'd have no idea how to cover that in your eulogy.

[He smirks a bit at that, before nodding his agreement. He appreciates the closeness, more than anything else.]

Yeah, I'm not sure how that would have gone down either. Here lies Barry Allen, eaten by Cthuhlu.

I'd put something nice on it at least. Here lies Barold, suck it Usain Bolt.

[he laughs.]

I would beast Usain Bolt. Though, it would be kinda unfair because he doesn't have super powers.

He doesn't have to know that. Haven't you seen the Incredibles?

So you're saying I should play it half-speed?

And then give it a sprint at the very end like a second wind. [ she's very satisfied with this idea. ]

[He nods.]

Sounds like a solid plan that does not completely embarrass my opponent. I like it.

I'm considerate. Now -- [ she pushes his hair back from his forehead, fingers gentle against where his bruise will be. it serves no real purpose, she just wanted to touch him, make sure he's still whole. after all she's lost, she takes near losses maybe a little too hard. ] -- lay down properly. We can watch a movie and I'll get you some food.

[supertardiness]

[He nods as he pushes up into a sitting position, rubbing at his face.]

Yeah, that sounds really good actually. I'm starving.

I figured you might be since you never did get around to sushi. [ she nods to the tv. ] Pick a movie and I'll grab... something.

[supertardiness]

[He nods.]

[Probably picking something sci-fi and nerdy. Like Independence Day.]

[ it takes her a good ten minutes because she had to decide what to feed him and figure out how much he can actually eat in one sitting, but then she finds a half empty bottle of spaghetti sauce in the fridge so she dumped it in a bowl, cooked some spaghetti, and mixed it all up.

she nudges the door closed behind her with her hip, hands full with the bowl and the shaker of cheese, forks clamped in her mouth that she let's drop to the bed when she's close enough. ]

Dad used to make me spaghetti before my competitions. So... please tell me you didn't pick Lady and the Tramp.

[supertardiness]

[And Barry will in turn, turn and reach out to help before shaking his head.]

No. Independence Day, actually.

[ once she's settled on the bed, she puts the bowl between them. ]

I'm actually impressed...

[ with a grin, she passes him a fork and settles in to watch the movie. once barry's fallen asleep, she moves to put the empty bowl and forks on her desk, covering him up with her blanket before laying back down beside him to finish the movie.
