A smuggler's basement, actually, but if you mean where does it come from ... it belonged to one of the last Jedi. Luke Skywalker, and before that, his father Anakin.

And what's a Jedi?

An ancient order of compassionate warrior-monks who preserve peace and defend the innocent by using the powers granted to them by the Force to move things and affect minds.

[ she says this like she's 100% an authority on the jedi. bc she has heard stories about luke skywalker. ]

Psionic monks?

[ wow that was a really concise way of putting it. ]

Psionic warrior-monks. [ and then, with what she got from ahsoka, ] They protected the Republic.

Interesting. I suppose there's almost an element of a psi-blade to it, except that it has an actual hilt.

I don't know what that is.

They had a power called the Force. It's not entirely dissimilar to the work of the Dragon's Mind, as I understand it. And the lightsabers, they were part of it. [ she drops her gaze. ] They're gone, now. Or ... they were, when I was brought here. All but one.

A psi-blade as I understand it is a plasma blade created out of a psionic's fist. Perhaps there's some connection, but I'm hardly an expert. Either way, it would make a wonderful addition to my collection.

[ her expression screws up suddenly, aghast. ]

I'm not giving it to you. I thought you wanted to learn from it. An even trade, for what I'm asking for.

You're asking me to acquire an item for you. An even trade would be an item in return.

[ she holds out her hand, sudden and firm. ]

I'm sorry. If this is your price, I can't pay. I'll wait for Sir Gold.

You're the one who claimed time was of the essence. [ did she tho ]

And now I'm the one telling you it's not worth that. Give it back.

[ he reluctantly holds it out ] Well, when Gold fails to live up to his end of the bargain, you'll know where to find me.

[ she grabs it back like anyone might snatch the only thing they properly own in this world. ]

But I won't be back. I have nothing to trade you.

Yeah. A shame.

[ she drops her head, visibly disappointed. but she keeps her resolve. this lightsaber is everything. if she gives it up, what is the holocron even for? she turns her back to him, heading off. ]

[ well he calls out after her ] Let me know if you'd like to talk about these Jedi sometime. I'd love to know more.
