[DNet Video || Filtered to new squires]
[This message was broadcast at an ungodly hour of the morning on Thursday, considering that most people are still sleeping off the many free drinks of last night. It doesn't stop Gar from seeming chipper as she addresses the screen]
Oh, hello! I do hope I did this properly...
If you're receiving this, you should be one of our new recruits, and I trust you all had a chance to get settled into your rooms after last night's celebrations.
[She seems to remember something, abruptly] Oh, I suppose I should introduce myself, since I didn't get a chance to really speak in depth with all of you last night! [Very proper:] My name is Jeanne Gar, and I'm a member of the Dragon's Hoard, which is our little name for our research and science division. The idea being that the hoard, in this case, is, well, knowledge, not treasure, but knowledge really is the greatest treasure, which is the little joke, you see... [She catches herself and clears her throat, smiling again] But we are also in charge of most of the mission resources that you'll have access to. What you might call the ... the gadget department. [She seems to find the word amusing and chuckles to herself] Wynn has asked me to take a moment to invite you all down this afternoon to receive your standard issue equipment and learn a bit about what we have available. Our laboratory is located on the other end of the castle, I'm afraid, to the right of the entry hall, rather than the left, where your rooms are. It's a bit of a trek, but it's very difficult to miss, and I shall be waiting for you all outside in the hall.
If you would be so kind as to meet at one o'clock this afternoon, that should give you a bit of time this evening to explore the grounds or settle in a bit. Tomorrow, each of you will begin your orientation with the Knight to whom you've been squired, which is very exciting.
If you have any trouble finding the lab or any questions, simply send me a message! I should hope no one ends up too lost... [She smiles at this idea for a moment, but the more she thinks about it, the more the smile fades a bit as if maybe it were actually a legitimate concern...]
