[Getting to know Finnick was a double edged sword for Myri. She enjoys being closer to him, but now her worry is increasing each day. We'll assume that in the giant Italian villa, Myri has a room to herself for the night, which is when she decides to try out that... phone thing.

Ring, ring- a witchwoman is calling you, Finnick.]

[night time in europe means late afternoon in america, so finnick was still having an exciting time dealing with all his pop start nonsense when his phone went off. which was a good thing as far as he was concerned. any opportunity to escape and get a minute of downtime.

and then he sees that it's myri on the caller id. o-oh. it's so hard not to be a) soft and squishy, or b) overly concerned.]

Myri. [he purrs seductively into the receiver. that's his idea of a happy ... left turn from all his current emotions. it's the easiest way to be.]

[witchwoman]

[She sits up in bed, almost as if startled that he responded, but it's more his tone that she wasn't expecting.]

Finnick. Hello. I was... just calling to... see if you were keeping your promise.

[By the end, there's a smile on her face that she hopes makes her tone sound less nervous.]

[he gives a short chuckle and then switches back to his normal tone of voice.] So far, so good. Nothing's threatened to rip me apart yet. What about you? Have you held up your end?

[witchwoman]

I seem to be in one piece. [Oh good. Now he sounds like the Finnick she knows.] We've been invited to stay at the most beautiful house. I wish you could see it.

Really? I'm jealous, we're still lodged at the hotel. You should describe it to me.

[witchwoman]

The entrance was fantastic with a ceiling so tall, you could have stacked all four of us on each other's shoulders and I doubt we could have reached the top. And in the dining room, there was a fireplace and large windows with the most breath taking view.

Rafael has been very kind to invite us.

Who's Rafael again?

[witchwoman]

A singer. Apparently he's very famous here. Unfortunately, he sings in a language I don't know, but it's still very nice.

Really? I guess that makes him my competition. I'm happy to hear that he's treating you well, though.

[witchwoman]

He is.

So how is everything? The music, I mean. Are you also becoming quite famous?

[65]

Something like that. I'm constantly at parties, all over magazines ... it's not terribly different from my life before, really. I'm used to the fame.

[witchwoman]

Well, that doesn't seem dangerous at all. [More teasing, though she does sound relieved.]

[65]

[he's grinning now.] Not unless the fans get too out of hand.

[witchwoman]

[She remembers the way the fans acted at Rafael's concert, and wonders if it's the same for Finnick now.]

You must make another promise, then. A promise to not forget us for all your fame.

[65]

Forget you? Don't be silly, that's impossible.

[witchwoman]

[There was a time when Myri would have liked nothing more than to be forgotten, but when he says it, she smiles and ducks her head- even though he can't see her try to avert her gaze.]

I'm glad to hear it. With the way these trips take unpredictable turns, I don't know when we'll all be reunited. [Oh right. The rest of the group exists. Whoops.]

How are the others?

[it's okay, girl. judging by the way he used "you" instead of "we", he forgot all those other people existed a long ass time ago.]

They're doing well, I think. I don't get to see them very much, what with all the partying and carefully crafting my image. What about your group? They haven't torn each other apart yet, have they?

[witchwoman]

[She laughs lightly.] Dumage has been gone for the majority of the trip, so the conflict has been nonexistent, honestly. Italy is a beautiful place.

Buffy's been invited for a ride in a very bright car. We're waiting for her to return.

[She doesn't want to talk too much about their plan since... someone could be listening.]

With who? Rafael? [finnick doesn't have those kinds of scruples, apparently.]

[witchwoman]

Mmm [She says in agreement.] Personally, I was more fond of his horses.

[65]

Do you ride?

[witchwoman]

When I was a young girl, my caretaker had a horse. She taught me enough to be able to sit upright.

But they were not a luxury I was afforded on my travels after she died.

[65]

That's a shame. I never did. There aren't many horses out on the seashore, you know.

[witchwoman]

But I'm sure you saw plenty of wonderful creatures. [Myri hasn't seen much open water. The Great Bay in her own world is an area she has visited a few times in her life, but never enough to really explore the wildlife.]

Pets or something of the like?

[65]

No pets, but there were a lot of sea turtles nearby. I always liked swimming as close to them as they'd let me.

[witchwoman]

Did you ever touch one?

[65]

A few times. Once, [he chuckles a little to himself before launching into the story] I had this hat, and I left it on the beach while I was out swimming. I came back just in time to see a sea turtle starting to swim off for it. I could have went after him but I figured, why bother? If he went to all the trouble to get the thing, he deserved it.

[witchwoman]

[A light string of laughter comes from Myri.]

Perhaps when we return to London, we can find a new hat for you.

[Excuses to hang out? Maybe.]

I would like that very much. You never know when you might need a hat. [or a lame excuse to hang out with a pretty girl.]

[witchwoman]

[More laughing, and then for the sake of not babbling into forever, we'll say that Myri hears a door open.]

I think Buffy's back. I should probably go. I'll talk to you soon?

Yes, soon. It's all right, I have to get back to the famous life. ... It was nice to talk to you.

[witchwoman]

You too. [She pauses, slightly flustered on how to go- mostly because she doesn't want it.]
