[ well astrid would be one of like three people to see lila not looking hella put together. BUT THEY MATCH KIND OF. because lila's wearing an nyu hoodie. represent. she opens the door with a yawn. ]

Why are you wearing sunglasses? [ but she pushes the door back to let astrid in. the bed is covered in books and notes and she's got a dry erase board stuck to the wall with a battleship grid and little green dots that signify her ships. there's a pile of pillows on the floor where she was apparently sitting and listening to pandora on her tablet while she does research. IDK WAS SHE SKYPING SYLAR TOO??? while doing research. god, probably. that's a fancy ass date for them. ]

[it is, ok. sylar and lila are tres romantique.] Because I already took out my contacts for the night and I didn't feel like putting them back in? [she walks into her room and takes a look around ... s-so exciting.] Where's your stash?

What do your contacts have to do with sunglasses? [ tiny bulldog. she opens one of the closet doors, kicks a heap of shoes out of the way and pulls out a large shoe box, dropping it on the bed. ]

[because she doesn't care that much around lila and it's clear she's going to keep being annoying about it, she lowers her sunglasses for a moment so lila can see her eyes. which are actually ... bright green with slit pupils. spoilers: she wears colored contacts to make her eyes look normal.] Because.

[once lila plops down the shoebox, astrid sits down next to it, opens it, and starts piling bottles together in different little groups.]

Pretty. [ and she means it, absolutely unfazed by this new development.

she has every painkiller known to man, including about ten that are banned in the us. most of them are nsaids, but she has a fair number of opioids. it's abundantly clear the pain she mentioned isn't just a mild headache. there's over forty different bottles, all with her name stamped across them. she also has narcan, which is used in case of opioid overdoses. she doesn't fuck around, tbh. ]

This ... [she looks down at her finished categorization project] is kind of crazy. You really hurt this much? All the time?

Yeah. Sometimes I can get away with just Vicodin and Tylenol, but it's not often. I get used to it if I use the same ones over and over so I switch it up. [ this box doesn't even include the anti-anxiety pills or the anti-depressants. ] It's been like this since before I can remember.

Okay, for one thing, don't do that. Vicodin already has acetaminophen in it. That's Tylenol. Take Vicodin with ibuprofen or aspirin. I mean ... that's basically what I'm looking at over here. You've got a lot of stuff, but most of it is opioids and NSAIDS. [she motions to the two main groups.] You can take stuff from the different groups together, but you shouldn't mix things within the same group. [i'm too lazy to do the math for her knowledge roll but it's like 20+. trust and believe.]

'kay. [ she's using her listening ears, snatching up one of the bottles of ibuprofen and leaning over to switch it out with the tylenol on her nightstand, tossing that into the shoebox instead. now she has one of each on her nightstand. ]

And that's my lecture. I didn't really ... have anything else planned.

Good lecture. Short, too the point, non-judgmental. [ and obviously lila listened so a++. granted, she's really fucking tired so she might forget, but look at her writing it down in one of her many, many piles of notes. ]

Uh-huh. [she's now putting the bottles back in the shoebox, trying to keep them in the same order she organized them on the bed.] I don't really advertise it.

Most Yuan-Ti are toolbags. I don't like being associated. [the ones she's met here have done nothing to change those feelings ok.] I'd rather just ... be normal.
