[ meanwhile, back at the ranch...
the keijen blade concert was televised, for anyone curious to watch, although many of the failboaters had cautioned (including a sign taped to the TV by kat) to keep it on mute, lest they get brainwashed by blade's voice.
the cameras did not last through the entire thing, but what they did see was... disturbing. at one point, in the giant concert hall, a large glass pane lifted between blade and the audience, as he sang a taunting number, at the end of which, the ceiling split open pouring boiling hot lava onto the hundreds of concert attendees, who were boiled alive. Some might know that they had friends away on that mission, friends who had said they were going to be in the crowd as back-up. The last images broadcast before cuts to a live newcast trying to make sense of what was happening as the cameras melted seemed to confirm the deaths of anyone inside.
The panicked reporters spoke of unusual sightings in the area, a horribly darkening sky above the concert hall. Monsters appearing out of nowhere. Chaos.
Los Angeles is burning.
Feel free to play out text or IC reactions to the broadcast here ]

for will and cora
He texts her. When she doesn't respond within 5 seconds, he texts her again. And again.
Eventually, he texts Cora:]
Have you heard from Abigail? I'm on my way to Will's room to see if he knows anything.
[Annnnd there's a plaid blur bolting down the castle halls to head for Will's room. Stiles knocks on the door, breathing heavy and trying not to have a full on panic attack.]
no subject
Each time, there's nothing.
Until there is something but it isn't Abigail, it's Stiles. It's Stiles saying he hasn't heard from her either.
Cora isn't very good at losing people, she never has been. She lost too many people to take it well, and the fact that her best friend may be dead, arguably the most important person in the world to her after Derek is just gone and she doesn't know what to do or even how to process it.
So she stumbles to her feet, idly, and heads in the direction of Will's room, slightly out of it and wobbly as she goes, but she'll get there eventually. Maybe Will's heard something.
Please let Will have heard something.]

He posts on the drakenet: DOING SOME DIGGING ON STATUS OF KNIGHTS AT BLADE CONCERT. ANY INFORMATION AND/OR HELP APPRECIATED.
He's doing his best to hack into security feeds, trying to track cell phones, cross checking different news stations to look for inconsistencies in their stories. He texts everyone on the mission, but doesn't expect to hear back from them anytime soon. Even if they all make it out alive, they'll have bigger things to worry about. But until he gets some answers, this is what he has to do.]

[ she comes in and parks beside him as soon as he puts out the announcement, parking across from him at the table. ]
Do you have a bank of images of Knights? If I'm going to run the facial recognition software I've got across social media platforms, I'll need something to compare it against.

➙ malina ( open to people that live in the woods i guess?)
gus has only gotten one of those texts, tonight.
he gives it about five minutes before he is walking out of the castle and into his section of the woods. yes, he has his own section for druid shit. he's getting his shit together in the small clearing when his phone chirps and he begrudgingly answers, recognizing malina's ringtone. ]
I'm outside.
no subject
[Nothing smells right about this and to say Malina is on edge is an understatement. But Felicity was on that mission and if Gus is as tense as he's sounding, something is very wrong. So she makes her way outside, knowing exactly where to go.
She steps into the clearing and eyes the ingredients he's gathering carefully.]

[It's not the first text he's sent today, and it's certainly not going to be the last if it goes unanswered. He's been texting and calling since the concert had gone sideways, and when he'd tried to contact either Rose or him, Sam had come up empty.
He had no idea what the hell happened to her, and Dean was nowhere to be found.
It's safe to say that Sam is Losing His Shit.]

Maybe he would have been able to save more of them. Maybe he could have stopped it.
Maybe he would have melted to death with the rest of them.
Still, his eyes stay transfixed on the screen until his phone buzzes, and he glances down to see a text from Cisco, asking if he was okay.]
Yeah, I'm here in the castle. I wasn't on the mission. You?

Sam
Basically she's trying to mother an entire castle at once. No big deal.
She's moving quickly through the halls when she spots a familiar face from the Hoard.]
Sam! Oh, thank god you're alright. [There's a hug incoming. She's giving a lot of these out.]
no subject
He returns it easily, glad to see that she's okay.]
You too, Helen. [He gives her a gentle squeeze, crouching down slightly from his tall height before he releases her. He can bet there's someone else she's checked on.] It took them forever, but I heard from Dean. He and Rose are alive and one their way back.
