[  you might have guessed this was coming, failboaters.  in the wake of the concert tragedy, wynn contacts each of you individually, and asks you to conduct a private video conference with him as a debrief of the events that transpired.   and also to check in on everyone, because that was... traumatic.

How do you feel about the manner in which events unfolded the other night, and the role the Knights played therein?

Crappy. I mean, I guess we did the best we could, it's not like anyone knew Raf was gonna go rogue or that' sonic boom was gonna make Elena bleed from the ears.

What about your own role in the night's events?

[graveflowers]

I don't think I... actually did anything.

[wynn]

Why do you think that was?

[graveflowers]

There wasn't anything I could do. I tried to help Myri but all I did was give Jade an opening.

So you did, in fact, take some action. Whether successful or not, you made an attempt to assist Sir de Tanos.

Yeah, but that's Myri, of course I tried to help her. [She is confused because she doesn't see that as an action, it was an instinct.]

It's a far cry from inaction, attempting to aid a teammate.

[graveflowers]

[She shrugs.] Okay, so I acted, I guess.

If you had known, at the beginning of that night, how it would play out, would you have altered your course of action?

[graveflowers]

[That question is not fair and her jaw tightens as she looks down at her hands, blinking quickly.]

What about the actions of your teammates?

[graveflowers]

I think we did the best could do with the mess we were given.

It was certainly a difficult situation. In a state of chaos, even experience does not guarantee one will make the appropriate choice. Or that there is one.

What I'd like to speak to you about concerns the visibility of our interference in events that night.

[graveflowers]

The visiblitiy of... Can you just repeat that like you're talking to an toddler because my brain refuses to process that for some reason.

I refer to the secrecy of the Knights' existence. Something we've maintained for centuries, despite the difficulties of doing so in this modern age of instant communication.

You can understand why I am concerned about the future consequences of the live broadcast of that night.

Oh that. Well, the police just think I'm Finnick's over-emotional, occasionally drunk best friend. Won't people just... think it was some creepy Selina shit? Like if he couldn't have her, no one could, insert icky stalker stuff?

[wynn]

Initially, perhaps. But with all eyes of the world on this investigation, you can be certain they'll go over every detail with a fine tooth comb. Investigative journalists will latch onto every character on the scene, attempting to ferret out your pasts, to speculate connections.

But, I don't... have a past here? And Finnick is my best friend. I don't understand what you mean.

Meaning that if they look into the girl you claimed to be, they may find she doesn't exist. And then they'll turn their spotlights directly on you. Whose company you've been seen in. Where those people came from. How many of their pasts don't check out...

So what am I supposed to do? Only hang out with Finnick until some famous person has a baby and everyone forgets about us? [A beat.] Which considering Jade wasn't a kidnapped pagent toddler might not be that long.
